Where exactly has the first week of November gone? Seriously it's now the 9th. Maybe the whole 'turn the clocks back' actually speeds time up uggs for cheap uggs for cheap?! Since Halloween it seems like a blur but I don't think I've really done anything remarkable...have I ever?!

1. I decided that with the days getting shorter and the infamous Vancouver rain slowly but steadily moving in that I needed to find something to do with my evenings. Second up, Katie and I headed over to Seattle on Saturday for a spot (or a lot) of retail therapy. After a lovely early start where we hit the River Rock Casino at 6:30am (to get picked up, of course.) The Starbucks was in a great location to people watch so we had some fun watching a group of really scruffy, dirty looking people with the cutest puppy ever - I don't think they were homeless I think it was actually the look they were going for. Nicely satisfied we headed off towards the Pike Place Market. En route we got distracted by the amazing shops - first stop Macys - they have amazing washrooms. Next shop I found a gorgeous jacket. Then we hit Nordstrom Rack - it's like a designer TK Maxx with all last season's stuff from Nordstrom. Katie had a successful time there and we had a good giggle at some of the very ugly shoes - Gold moon ugg ugg boots s anyone?

We eventually got down to the market where we realised we were starving, shopping's hard work you know! We found a really nice pub that had lots of 'pubby' things on the wall, cardy uggs I think every surface was covered. We had a really good lunch there and then headed into the market. This was possibly the highlight of my day - I saw them throw fish!!! Yaaay, it's taken me four trips to that place to see them throw the fish. It was very exciting and the place was packed with similar cool people like myself waiting for the fish throw.

At this point Seattle skies opened and it downpoured for the rest of the day. We had a quick wander along the waterfront, which is stunning in the sunshine, not so much in the rain. I saw a van for Boyds Coffee which I'd never even heard of before. A quick google later and it's a specialist coffee company based in Portland, Oregon. It's been going since 1900 and according to their website it sounds like a pretty good company to work for - maybe I can claim that I'm a long lost relative of Percival Dewe Boyd, the founder.

We then headed back to the main shopping area, had a wander through a few shops then went to Nordstrom. Here I purchased my most beautiful pair of shoes ever, although my winter ugg boots winter ugg boots I got last year come a very close second. After a quick refuel, we got on the monorail to head back to the bus. A weird man decided to befriend us on the monorail. He even took his shirt off to show us his t-shirt with cats on - lovely! We had a quick look at the Space Needle and then got on the coach back to Vancouver. Katie has a great hangman game on her phone so we played that for a while - it's surprisingly addictive. We whizzed through border control - completely different to getting into America and got back to Vancouver really early which was great!
